On Saturday April 30th, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands celebrated the Silver jubilee of her coronation. The Dutch Australian Society in Tasmania celebrated with a Jubilee Luncheon at Citygate.

Mr Ben Buissink was presented with a Life membership award of the Dutch Australian Society for service to the Dutch Australian community, in particular his work in relation to fundraising for the Abel Tasman Fountain at Salamanca and work with the Tulip Festival.

Ben and his wife live in Moonah and are excellent members of the Glenorchy community. With his background as a chef, they are always willing to lend a hand for community functions.
